## Before the bike goes in

- Fuel: Fill the tank and add stabilizer, or drain carbureted bikes as the manual says.
- Battery: A tender, or the battery out and kept charged at home.
- Chain: Clean and lube it so it does not rust in place.
- Tires: Set the pressure. A stand takes weight off them.
- Cover: A breathable cover, never a plastic tarp.

## Motorcycle questions

**Can I store a motorcycle in a regular storage unit?**

Often yes, in a 5 x 10 or 10 x 10 unit, if the facility allows vehicles. Many ask for registration and insurance, and some limit fuel in the tank.

**Can you pick up the bike?**

Ask for pickup in the request. Bikes travel on a trailer or in an enclosed van with soft straps.
