# Storage for a second car when you live in a condo

Condos come with one space, sometimes none. A second car on the street means tickets, overnight bans and snow clearing. Tell us your neighbourhood and how often you need the car, and we find storage close by.

## Options that work for condo owners

- [Monthly parking nearby](https://car-storage.ca/storage/outdoor-car-storage/): An outdoor or covered spot you can reach by foot or transit, with access when you need the car.
- [Indoor, a bit farther out](https://car-storage.ca/storage/indoor-car-storage/): Cheaper than downtown parking. Good for a summer car you take out on weekends.
- [Winter only, with pickup](https://car-storage.ca/services/car-pickup-and-delivery/): A summer car leaves in November and comes back in April. You never drive it there.

## Before you choose

- How often you need it: Weekly use needs easy access. Once a season does not.
- Renting a space in your building: Some condo owners rent out spaces. Check your building’s rules, and the parking bylaw in your city.
- Insurance: A car you rarely drive may qualify for a lower rate. See [insurance while stored](https://car-storage.ca/guides/car-insurance-while-in-storage/).

## Condo owner questions

**Can I keep the second car on the street?**

In most Canadian cities, not for long. Time limits, permits and winter bans apply. See [street rules](https://car-storage.ca/guides/can-i-leave-my-car-on-the-street-in-winter/).

**Which is cheaper, monthly parking or storage?**

Storage outside the core is usually cheaper. Outdoor storage starts at $99/month in Toronto. See [Toronto](https://car-storage.ca/locations/toronto/).
